The Association's Regional Care Adviser (RCA) working in the East London area, has detailed knowledge of the care and management of Motor Neurone Disease. Working very closely with local statutory services and community care providers, the person is able to provide support and advice to people with MND and their families. Lynn Sprague runs the South West Essex Support Group (SWEG) open support meetings and bereavement groups for people living with MND in the local area. Lynn is also an Association Visitor, which entails visiting and supporting people in their own homes. She can be contacted on 01708 551889.
Marion Bidmead is also an Association Visitor who leads on support meetings at the Epicentre, Leytonstone. She can be contacted on 07956 869728 or email marionbidmead@aol.com.
Volunteer Development Co-ordinators (VDC) are regionally based staff who provide advice and support to Branches and other Volunteer groups and also encourage and help to set up new Branches and Groups.
